Drama shows struggle against Holocaust deniers.
A film related to the controversies that still today arise about the truthfulness of the Holocaust was released last year (2016). Denial is a film directed by Mick Jackson, based on the book of Deborah Lipstadt: History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier.
The author of the book is also the main character of this story based on real facts. When university professor Deborah Lipstadt includes World War II historian David Irving in one of his books on “Holocaust deniers”, Irving decides to publicly accuse her of defamation and from then on begins a struggle to prove or not the historical veracity of the tragedy known to end up in the death of 6 million Jews. With the burden of proof placed on the accused, Lipstadt and his team of lawyers struggle to prove the essential truth about the Holocaust’s occurrence.
