Sion Sister celebrates golden jubilee of religious life.
Sister Kathy, NDS (Mediterranean region) celebrated on this last Sunday (29 October) 50 years of religious life in Sion. The celebration took place in the community of Ein Karem (Jerusalem) and was attended by the superiors general of both Sion branches (male and female). There were also other brothers and sisters of Sion, as well as religious from other congregations, friends, and volunteers working in the community.
Fr. Carlos presided the Eucharist at 11am (with the concelebration of the Superior General Fr. Donizete Ribeiro). After the reading of the Gospel, Sr. Kathy read a text describing her long trajectory in the land of Israel and concluded by saying farewell and thanking the entire present community, since she is leaving to live in Germany.
