Last Sunday (November 25th) the Contemplative Sisters of Sion of the Convent Solitude of Curitiba celebrated with great joy the 60 years of the community. Fr. Faustino Tonini, NDS, along with young male aspirants from the Castro community and other sisters from different places celebrated together with the contemplative sisters.

The Solitude of Curitiba was the first community to be built outside of Europe. In Curitiba, the Sisters always sought to be inserted in the context of the country and the local Church. Welcoming, simplicity, joy for fraternal communion, all these factors bear witness to those who visit them that the contemplative life has, in the Church, its space, in every time and place.
