National Youth Day 2019

On April 23-28, Sisters of Sion (Joselia, Leah and Maria) participated the National Youth Day in Cebu, Philippines. There were about 12.000 delegates from different archdioceses of the Philippines taking part on the event. The eight-day NYD were concluded with the mass presided by the Apostolic Nuncio, Rev. Gabriele Caccia. He left the challenge to the youths to be like Mary as servant of the Lord; to be the light of the world especially to those who suffer and are longing for love, to be the sign of hope and peace. Because “this is our vocation”, he said.

On April 28 afternoon, in coordination of the CBCP-Commission on Directors/Directress of Vocation Promoters, about 150 Congregations of Women and Men were present and had a chance to meet the youths. We all had our booth/table with our brochures, posters, bookmarks, etc. We were happy to take part of this event as we continue to pray for the life of the youth.
