The peace camp continues to make its voice heard in Israel.
His voice resounds, singular and soft on the gazebo overlooking the Palestinian neighborhoods of East Jerusalem. Haim Yaron chose this peaceful place, far from cries of anger and calls for revenge, to hear another message. In his flesh bruised by violence that is raising up, he would have every reason to join in the cry room. Tuesday, October 13, his septuagenarian father was shot with a bullet in the head by a Palestinian gunman after he had to board the bus 78 to get to a medical appointment. His mother, who accompanied him, was seriously injured and survived only by a miracle.

Haim Yaron claims that it is urgent to “invest in coexistence between Jews and Arabs.” He spoke against building a wall to separate the Jewish settlement neighborhood of Armon Hanatsiv where his father lived and the Arab village of Jebel Moukaber where the murderer lived.
