The 50th Anniversary of Vatican II Declaration Nostra Aetate was celebrated last Sunday (October 25) at Our Lady of Sion School in Higienopolis (Sao Paulo).

The event organized by the Sisters of Sion included the participation of Fr. Donizeti Ribeiro who made the first speech. There were also Jewish, Islamic leaders and members from other Christian communities. The singer Fortuna sang along with a group of young students from the CIP (Sao Paulo Israelite Congregation)'s music school, called the "Vozes do Violão" (Guitar Voices). All the rabbis and the Sheik spoke about the need to build a dialogue society.
