Conclusion of Novitiate Canonical Year.
Last Saturday (April 8), Fr. Carlos Vasconcelos, NDS celebrated the Eucharist in the chapel of the Ein Karem Community, commemorating the closing of the canonical year of the International Novitiate of the Sisters of Sion, which was officially concluded on April 4 . There were present contemplative, apostolic sisters, associates, brothers and friends of Sion.
At Mass, Sr. Clare of the General Council shared a reflection on the Virgin Mary and the prophet Isaiah as models of disciples who heard and followed the call of God. At the end of the celebration, Fr Carlos and the whole assembly gave a special blessing, sending the novices to their new mission. In a few weeks they will be traveling to Egypt and Poland for an apostolic experience.
