Toronto Sisters celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Nostra Aetate.
An important celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Nostra Aetate will take place in Toronto on Oct. 8. 2015. The Event is sponsored by the Christian-Jewish Dialogue of Toronto, the Sisters of Sion and other groups. The celebration is titled The Global Village: Our Responsibility to Engage.
This gathering will feature speakers from around the world who are accomplished in the field of dialogue – including Sr. Mary Boys, Prof. Ed Kessler, Rabbi Ron Kronish and Timothy Radcliff, op.
Participants – including a significant number of University students – will be challenged to use the gift of dialogue to engage society to bring about a more just and peaceful world.
This conference, therefore, celebrates the 50th anniversary of the publication of Nostra Aetate, a ground-breaking interfaith document that emerged from the Second Vatican Council of the 1960s.
