Last week, the brothers and sisters of Sion together held a mission in the countryside of Brazil (São Sebastião do Paraíso), in one of the oldest parishes of Sion in Brazil (Nossa Senhora de Sion).
Today, May 6, 2017, brothers and sisters of Sion celebrated the 133rd anniversary of the death of Fr. Alphonse Ratisbonne (one of the founders of the Congregation).
This is a very important week for Brothers and Sisters of Sion, as we have two special days: May 1st was the anniversary of Birth (1814) of Alphonse Ratisbonne and tomorrow (May 6th) is the day when we commemorate his death (1884).

Carlos Vasconcelos, NDS celebrated the Eucharist in the chapel of the Ein Karem Community, commemorating the closing of the canonical year of the International Novitiate of the Sisters of Sion, which was officially concluded on April 4 . by Maria Malau, NDS Novice On March 29th we, the Novices had an opportunity to be with Brother Elio, one of our Brothers of Notre Dame de Sion, who took us on an excursion and spoke of the significance of the Mount of Olives in the Bible and in Jewish tradition.
